Bodie's Birthday Weekend

This trip started out with an EARLY flight that left Atlanta at 7:00am. I woke at 4:30, got dressed, packed the car, rolled Braylen out of bed to the carseat, and was off to pick up Mom in order for us to make it to the airport by 6:00. It was an EARLY morning but fun at the same time. This was Braylen's first PLANE RIDE ever......and we were equally excited....I was also a little nervous. So we were able to load up on the plane right when we got to the gate...no waiting around.....and then we were off into the air. Bray LOVED IT....she stared out the window and talked the whole plane ride there. I am sure the other passengers were like can she be quite.....it was still early....lol! She loved pulling down the window shade and looking in the magazine skymall.......! Our plane wasn't full so she was able to have her own seat....which I LOVED! So we arrived and Lis picked us up at the airport....we were at Lis'a house and settled no later than 9:00am that morning...it was great....we had the whole day to play.

So mom and Lis worked all morning...Bray played then took a morning nap...she was exhausted....so I took one too while everyone was doing their own thing. That afternoon I was able to run errands for Elisabeth to help prepare for the big day....I love doing that kind of stuff. Friday, we all got up and did our morning routines....worked out....worked a little.....and then that afternoon...Adam came home early and we all loaded up and ran more errands to finish preparing for the bid day and then ate a yummy dinner at this pizzaria and then called it an evening....! We came home and each had a task to do for Bodie's birthday. Mine was making all the sugar cookies (these were for the kids to individaully decorate and take home....partying gift.) Mom cut up allt he veggies and fruit and put them all up in order to put in their arrangements the next day! Lis.....shredded the barbeque and did other things by getting the house ready for the celebration. Adam did the vacuuming and cleaning up the house....! So the night came to an end and we were all exhausted. Saturday we woke up and immideatly started working. I had to make a broccoli salad....get the crockpot mac and cheese up and running...same for the bbq. Then slice all the rolls, gather all the food out and start putting it in the dishes they were going to be served in. Adam was off to get the balloons and pick up the cake. We also had to arrange the outside for all the company and get showers and get Bodie ready for his party....and still make more food! I love being in a RUSH....not sure why! So the BIG DAY....

It started at 11:30 and everyone in the neighborhood that they invited started to arrive. As most people were there...Adam thanked people for coming and then the food line started. EVERYONE LOVED THE FOOD....that is always a plus! After eating......they all decided to do Bodie's birthday cake celebration. HE ATE EVERY BITE of his smash cake....EVERY BITE....such a good boy! Then presents were opened. During all of this....kids were decorating their cookies, doing side walk chalk, holding Braylen (playing pretend with her....really) and boys were playing with all the toys! After the majority of the crowd left....we all cleaned up everything and then joined the neighbors and Adam outside to play CORNHOLE...in the RAIN....it was a Wonderful AFTERNOON and actually a lot of fun! By the time this playtime was over, it was dinner time....we snacked on left overs, then put the babies down after their MUCH NEEDED baths, and then we settled down and watched Blindside....what a FABULOUS movie....I could watch it 100 times.

So the party was a success....Sunday was a great relaxing day...ran errands, hung out, and then Monday we headed home via PLANE again....but this time...we missed our flight. Well we actually made it on time but we didn't make the check our luggage part on time.....we were not happy but it was all of our faults. So we stayed at airport for 6 hours until our next flight that left Cincinatti at noon. Entertaining Braylen for 6 hours in an airport, and in her JAMMIES.....was exhausting....but it worked and we were just glad to get home when we did. She slept the whole plane ride home, thank goodness! But was completely wired when we got home....she got to see Poppie (my dad), NahNah (hannah), and Daddy (bray's dad)........she was in HEAVEN.....how could a girl be tired....she was getting to see some of her favorite people!
