I'm an AUNT to Bodie Wagner Heick

This was such a wonderful moment for me....first I have never been an Aunt before and second because I got to helpy deliver my favorite nephew Bodie.....I love him so much! He came into this world at 6:21pm on April 29th 2009. He weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. He has a head full of RED hair.....he is a TRUE Bodie...ha! Elisabeth and Adam are doing wonderful and Elisabeth did such a great job during delivery...I was one proud sister! I look forward to all the many memories to come with our kiddos....! Dada, Dada, Dada....

Braylen has definitely been a busy body lately. She jibber jabbers all day long and says Dada, Dada to anything. Braylen is definitely on the move these days...she crawls about 4 times and then plops to her belly and pulls herself everywhere. I put her down in one spot and the next thing I know, she is across the room...she is constantly keeping me on my feet. She is very close to sitting up on her own....if I am right there, she puts her hand on me and pushes up to sitting position but she is having a hard time doing it by pushing off the floor.....we are so so close though. As far as the eating is and nursing.....well...Braylen is still not a fan of fruit....I think she is slowly starting to take on Applesause...but is isn't her fav. She still hates the banana taste....haha...I love bananas. She eats her veggies very well and now I started giving her those rice puff cereal things... and she likes those so that is good. She also loves her sippy cup...she yells out at times when she can't get the water out but all I have to do is hold it up sometimes and then she is in heaven. Still nursing her 4 times a day...I could probably get that down to 3 times but just not ready to change up the schedule yet. Speaking of nursing....my girl has 2 teeth on the bottom and 3 (that's right folks) 3 teeth on the top...they have all broken skin and slowly coming through....well I am now feeling it while I nurse.....something is going to have to give....she has bitten me and I even showed Grant...it bled...ouch! I told him, if this doesn't stop, no more nursing for me. Well it has gotten a little better but we will see! For those of you who never nursed....what it feels like is someone pinching you under your upper arm...that oh so sensitive skin.....doesn't feel so good! This past weekend was our first road trip with Braylen and it went very well. We left at 7:00 on a Wednesday night (which is her bedtime) and she slept the whole way there. She did very good in her pack n play all weekend and did fairly good being on a crazy schedule, etc. ON the way home...she did okay...slept for the first part and then I put in Baby Einstein and she watched that and then I had to entertain her for a little while until she ended up dozing back off for the remainder of the ride....I must have been boring her...haha! Hannah went with us to Charleston (Grant's brother's wedding) and she was our in house sitter....it was super awesome to have her there to help out but to also be able to have Braylen there with me but still be able to go out in the evenings.....we loved it! And one last thing...Braylen now takes BIG GIRL baths and SHE LOVES IT! She is a natural swimmer....must take after her daddy....she just splashes around and loves to be on her stomach and her back in the bath.....baths are no more get fresh and clean quick....that is play time for Braylen....but it is awesome....I love that she loves it! There is so much more to update and several more events that are coming up...so I will keep everyone posted. Right now, we are all just PATIENTLY waiting for our LITTLE GUY to come into this world....my first nephew....and Braylen's first cousin....we can't wait! Bye Bye Braylen

So my trip to Vegas was a blast but YES, I missed Braylen terribly! I knew though that she was in excellent hands but I just missed her. I am with her everyday so not having her around made me sad at times. My wonderful family and husband did send me photos of her through my phone and I was showing everybody...I was one proud Mama! Those pictures that were sent definitely got me through my day and made me very happy! On the Friday that I was gone, Braylen spent the day with "Poppie" (my dad)...we call it Bodie Daycare and they had a blast...singing and playing and just being goofy. Grant told me he went to pick her up and she was naked, (view the photo above....!) Dad said that him and Braylen played in the sink and with the sprayer....needless to say her clothes were soaked and there wasn't a clean pair around...oh well...fun, fun! That Saturday, she got to go visit with her Great-Grandmother...Grant said that meant alot to all of them that Braylen was able to spend time and get some photos with Grandmother. So I guess Braylen had a fun packed weekend and got to visit with lots of people....but when it all comes down to it, Grant still never had Braylen all day long and night by himself....sucker!!!!!
